Every year students come from Connecticut, Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts - even from London, England! (and this year, possibly, from Mississippi) - to immerse themselves in art making for an entire week. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. we have class in the studio - the topic for this year will be determined by the participants. Tuition is $500 for the week-long workshop. Lodging and food extra. This workshop is full, but, since April is some time from now, there will mostly likely be a space or two that opens up. From 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on June 13 & 14 Pendell will teach an Acrylic Image Transfers Workshop at
I.S. 183, Art School of the Berkshires in Stockbridge MA. Learn several methods of creating acrylic image transfers using a
variety of acrylic gels, mediums and paints. Each student will be
guided in their own personal project - a mixed media collage or an
acrylic painting - on canvas, board or paper (student's choice). Methods to be explored include changing the scale of the image and
repeating it, overlapping two or more images, and applying images to
unusual surfaces (i.e. crackle paste). Register directly with I.S. 183 (413) 298-5252.
