Can it happen here? A Maine town makes money recycling

It was in the late 1990s that selectmen in St. George, Maine, made a decision to invest in recycling their trash. More than 10 years later, a $1 million municipal investment has turned into a profit center. Not bad for a town of about 2,580 people near the famed Port Clyde lighthouse along mid-coast Maine.
