Friends,

The tenant we'd lined up just declined the house.

It's the house neighboring mine on McCauley, off of West Main Street in WMST.  It is a GREAT cheap place for someone for a year, after which time it will be under renovation.  The house is in suitable shape, though not prime condition and will only be rented "as is."

Maybe you've heard of someone looking for a great deal since my last email.  $600 for village living... Can't beat that!  Details below:

Subject: your house for rent
Jodi,
I work for the XXXXXXXX and happen to see your notice on Greylock News site today.  A young woman, XXXXX XXXXXXXXX from XXXXXXX had called our office looking for an inexpensive rental, as she is newly with the new Williams theater complex and couldn't afford to spend much.  We generally don't deal in rentals but I said I would keep my eyes open and, my God, ran into your add today.  I have left her a message on her cell but I also wanted to give you her number just in case she doesn't get the message.  xxx-xxx-xxxx.  Good luck, she sounds like a really nice young gal.

Bill,
This method of news seems like a wonderful way to keep community together and informed on a whole range of things. Thank you for this pertinent idea. Carolyn

Bill: This is great! Since, as word has it, Linda Carman will no longer be writing about our local news in the Advocate, this site provides an alternative to accepting local news only through the Transcript or the Eagle. . . and its interactive! I'm all in favor! Thanks for putting this together!
