Lanesboro Author Publishes Poems on Hospital Chaplaincy

LANESBOROUGH, Mass. - Rachel Barenblat of Lanesborough has announced the publication of "chaplainbook," a collection of poems based in her experience during a nine-month chaplaincy internship at Albany Medical Center, undertaken as part of a course in CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education), required by the Aleph rabbinic program, in which she is a student. "Chaplainbook" is the first offering under the Laupe House imprint. Laupe House is a cooperative press comprising bloggers who take a "literary approach to an unorthodox pursuit of enlightenment," according to Barenblat.

Barenblat is author of two previous chapbooks of poems, "the skies here" (Pecan Grove Press, 1995, now out of print) and "What Stays" (Bennington Writing Seminars Alumni Chapbook Series, 2002.) She is also co-founder of Inkberry, a literary arts nonprofit based in North Adams. "Chaplainbook" is available online and will soon be available via Amazon.com.

GreylockNews.COM a place for all around the mountain

Carole:

GreylockNews.COM is a community meeting place. We envision it reflecting the communities around Mount Greylock (the mountain), which certainly includes the feeder communities to Mount Greylock (the high school).

With this post, we have started a topic area -- "Lanesborough." I encourage you to ask town and school officials in Lanesborough to post news and information for all GreylockNews.COM readers to follow.
