Chris O'Brien, the Duke alumnus and business reporter for the San Jose Mercury news who won a Knight News Challenge grant, is asking the JTM-DC community to help which his "next newsroom" project. He's focused on understanding how to create for Duke the college newsroom of the future. He's launched a website: http://www.nextnewsroom.com . . . and here's an excerpt of his information request:
"We're planning to build a database of information about the current state of college newsrooms. To do that, we'll be contacting hundreds of college newsrooms across the country to ask them register at our website and fill out a profile of their newsroom under the "Your Newsroom" section, one that will hopefully include photos and some videos if folksare so inspired.
