AUDIO: WAMC, Albany, N.Y; WMUA-Amherst interviews with Bill Densmore

The National Public Radio affliate for Albany, N.Y., WAMC -- 90.3 -- interviewed Bill Densmore by phone for a segment of its weekly news roundup aired at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2006. Here's  a link to the MP3 of the interview, which lasted about 10 minutes:

In addition, Francesca Rheannon, who hosts the independently produced "Writer's Voice" interview program on WMUA-Amherst and Valley Free Radio in Northampton, Mass., pre-taped a 20-minute interview with Bill Densmore on June 15, 2006, two weeks before the MGP2006 summit. In it, Densmore talks about why he's pursuing the project, why journalism is in trouble, why it's important to reach out to main-stream media and what might happen if two or three telecoms control all the "presses" in the United States.

AUDIO: Network Neutrality: Who controls the pipes

Cable and phone giants want to create tiers of service for delivering content on the Internet, upsetting the concept of  "network neutrality." Legal, technical and first-amendment experts discussed the issue at the Media Giraffe Project summit, June 29, 2006 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
