Berkman seeks nomination for $50K+ awards for net-significant people

WANTED: BERKMAN AWARD NOMINATIONS -- Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet and Society is accepting nominations for their first-ever Berkman Awards, which will honor people and institutions that have made significant contributions to the Net over the past decade. The grand prize is $50,000 and smaller awards will be given to five specific categories, one of them being news/journalism. GIVING PROPS TO E.J. GRAFF -- The Council on Contemporary Families recently honored E.J. Graff for her article "The Opt-Out Myth" (Columbia Journalism Review, April/May 2007), which pointed out distortions in media reports about working mothers and argued that the recent spate of "moms-go-home" stories misrepresented actual trends.
