Owners of Norwich, Meriden dailies ask FCC to break ties between Tribune's Courant and in-market TV station

Public interest groups, two Connecticut newspapers, and the co-owner of the Manchester, Conn., Journal Inquirer have asked the FCC to reject Tribune Co.'s request for a renewed exemption from the commission~Rs ban on cross-ownership of television stations and newspapers in the same market. Harlan Levy writes about their petition to the FCC.
