Christmas trees and Christmas cookies and Santa Claus, oh my! On Florida Mountain it's Christmas in July.
Friends of the Florida Council on Aging are staging their first ever "Christmas in July" craft bazaar on Saturday, July 25th at the Florida Senior Center. The event will feature area crafters selling items for Christmas giving. A "live" Christmas tree and Santa Claus will be present with a professional photographer on hand to take pictures of kids, families or pets with Santa. Breakfast and lunch will be available. A 50/50 raffle, a children's activity table and DVD raffle, a Chinese auction and drawings for various prizes will be some of the featured attractions.
The Christmas bazaar is being held at the Florida Senior Center on the Mohawk Trail from 9am to 4pm. For more information or to check on availability of space call Ella Tower at 424-7039 or Judy St. Jacques at 413-663-5561.
Proceeds from the fair will be used to support programs for Florida seniors that are sponsored by the Council on Aging and the senior center.
