During the session, both Okamoto and Hughes discuss their citizen-journalism efforts; Okamoto's is just getting started in Beaverton, Ore., and Huges has a vibrant operation in the fast-growing western suburbs of Atlanta. The feasibility of electronic tablet devices as a replacement or newspaper delivery, and the idea of co-operative ownership of a local news organization are also discussed.
